Pão de Açúcar
The Pão de Açúcar has a height of 404 m and it is located in the Guanabara bay. The visitors can arrive on the top by tram and there to have a panoramic view of the city.
From the tram walk you can appreciate incredible landscapes of the beaches Pedra da Gávea and the Corcovado, among others.

Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas
It is located in downtown, to the south area of the Corcovado Park. Surrounding this enormous lagoon has skate hint, cycling street, heliport, clubs, parks and kiosks that offer a variety of food. It is connected to the sea for the Jardim de Alah channel. The lagoon also counts with pedal boats. The Tom Jobim Park is formed by the group of three parks: Brigadeiro Faria Lima, do Cantagalo and Taboas.

Corcovado
It is the image of the post cards of Rio, with 710 m of height, the Corcovado is located in the da Tijuca National Park and it is here where the Cristo Redentor statue is. The Cristo Redentor has 30 m of height and in the base it has a chapel.
It is possible to go up the Corcovado for electric train or for an asphalted steps road. In the Cosme Velho station the entertainment begins with stores of tourist support and Cultural Space too.

Jardim Botânico
It has 8.000 species of plants, orchidarium, Bromelias and violets species and varieties, insectivorous plants, cactus collections, medicinal plants and lakes; there are an entrance marked by imperial palms row, each one with 30 m of height. It also possesses properties of historical patrimony, as the old Gunpowder Factory.

Arpoador
The Arpoador beach is located between Ipanema and Copacabana and it has an excellent panoramic view to Rio de Janeiro: a place to appreciate the outstanding sunset.
There is the Garota of Ipanema Park (like the Tom Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes musical composition) that counts with skate hint and musical shows.

Aterrro do Flamengo
This park has green area of 1.200.00 m². It possesses night illumination, sport courts, hundreds of species of trees, playground, amphitheater, skate hints and airplane modeling and this is the place where the MAM - Modern Art Museum is located.

Metropolitan Cathedral
This Cathedral, in a conical form, it is located in the center of Rio. The vitrals are in the whole church and in the underground it is the Museum of Sacred Art.

Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil
Antique headquarters of Bank do Brazil, this cultural center counts with 02 theaters, 04 spaces for samples, library with 120 thousand copies, auditory, video rooms and cinema and the permanent exhibition "Brazil through the Currency."

Confeitaria Colombo
The snack bar, located in the heart of Rio, possesses a luxurious decoration characteristic of the Rio Belle Époque, becoming obligatory stop for important figure of the artistic, intellectual and political environment.
The snack bar menu is delicious and varied, you have to taste the Biscoito Leque, Petit Four, Rivadávia, Casadinhos, Portuguese candies, Sanduichinhos de Pão de Forma, breads, shrimps, ice creams and other delights.
The second floor has a small museum, the Espacio Memoria, which shows the Confitería Colombo history. Here it will be able to buy souvenirs of the Colombo brand.

Cinelândia
This enormous square keeps the memories of that was the center of the best cinemas in the city. The Rio de Janeiro glamour from that place showed in the twenties decade, resting vestiges like the Odeon cinema that was restored and reopened.
At the moment surrounding Cinelandia are located the Camera de Vereadores, the National Library, the Fine Arts National Museum, the Cultural Center of Federal Justice and the Municipal Theater.

Maracanã
The Stadium Jornalista Mário Filho, also well-known as Maracaná it is for a lot of people the temple of the soccer. It was also in the Maracaná that the Pope John Paul II celebrated encounters with Brazilians faithful.
This sport complex also has the Maracanãzinho, the Célio de Barros Stadium and the Júlio Delamare Aquatic Park.

Praia de Copacabana
In Rio there are many beautiful beaches, but we must to highlight the Copacabana Beach.
In an extension of 6 km it is possible to find entertainment and sport areas, as soccer courts, volley, foot-volley, cycling street, bike rent, kiosks, hotels, commercial stores, bars and restaurants. Copacabana is known by their white and black boulevard, also for their fabulous New Year party.
The beach begins in the Princesa Isabel Av. until the Forte de Copacabana. This Fort has the Historical museum of the Army and a beautiful view to the sea.

Igreja da Candelária
The exuberance of this Church doesn't go unnoticed: it has an interior of marble in several colors, with big doors brass sculpted, beautiful murals and vitrals and a floor plan in Latin cross form.

Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Glória do Outeiro
Located in a beautiful place and with a beautiful view, is in this Church that several personalities of the royalty were baptized. It has a tower and the floor plan has an original design, three altars, two lateral pulpits and all finished in tile. The Imperial Museum is next to the church. It possesses two accesses: for the Gloria's slope and for the elevator

Biblioteca Nacional
Built in neoclassicist style, the library according to the UNESCO is the eighth national library of the world. It counts with more than 9 million items, among them: the princess's Isabel letters, the first newspapers of the country, a copy of the Bible of Mogúncia or Moguntiacum (1462), a donation of Don Pedro II in the 1891year with wealth of more than 48.000 volumes, bibliography of Brazil and Portugal history. One of the rarities is the hand written Evangeliario, of the century XI-XII.
The library also possesses laboratories to conserve the paper of the pieces of its wealth, and bind office.

Mosteiro de São Bento
Está situado no centro da cidade, no alto de uma colina com vista à Baia da Guanabara. O Mosteiro é uma construção simétrica de estilo barroco, com duas torres, entrada com 03 arcadas de acordo às tradições beneditinas, pátio em granito e 08 capelas em estilo colonial. A simplicidade da fachada contrasta com todo ouro da decoração do interior da Igreja.
O visitante pode assistir à missa das 10h de domingo e apreciar os cantos gregorianos com acompanhamento de órgão.

Parque Nacional da Tijuca
É a maior reserva natural de mata localizada em área urbana do país. Está dividida em: Floresta da Tijuca, Serra da Carioca (onde está o Corcovado, entre outras atrações) e Maciço da Gávea/Pedra Bonita (um lugar apropriado para salto de Vôo livre). O parque se caracteriza não só por sua flora e cachoeiras, mas também por sua fauna: cotias, esquilos e micos.
Os adeptos do eco-turismo podem encontrar aqui diversidade de trilhas que inclusive levam à pista de vôo livre.
É possível chegar ao Parque por sete vias de acesso, entre elas: Estrada do Redentor, Estrada da Canoa e Estrada da Castorina.

Palácio Tiradentes
Prédio onde esteve preso Joaquim José da Silva Xavier - Tiradentes - antes de ser levado à forca. Atualmente abriga a Assembléia Legislativa do Estado de RJ.
A entrada deste Palácio conta com 06 colunas de 12 m de altura.
Aqui está situado o Núcleo de Memória Política Carioca e Fluminense, que conta com exposição da história política do Rio de Janeiro.
